Crazy that the Ninetail Malgam's secret identity was some random fox god, showing that supernatural stuff happens even outside of Chemies. There was a point where I thought it was Granny Icho since she kept showing up, but I was totally wrong. Feels like Inoue was channeling her father's unpredictability for this arc, reminding me of Decade VS Zi-O. I wonder if there was some kind of telepathic medium from Fox God -> Ninetail -> Cosmic Chemies -> Starshine that allowed him to relay the prophecy to Houtarou. Especially after what we saw beyond the Door of Darkness, it's a relief that this Hell's Gate merely leads to a hot spring.

Also, the relationship between Renge and her grandmother went through a completely natural and healthy development. And little Renge is incredibly cute! Also, the filler nature of this story is compensated by 7 new cards. Although, I should note that considering that most of them are intended for Rinne, she did little to get them. But the dialogue with Atropos reminds us that their conflict was never resolved, so there is still more to come.

It was a cool moment with Renge confronting her childhood fear and defeating the Yokai with alchemy. I hope Sabi and Isaac get similar development. Looks like Rinne's and Atropos' rivalry will be picking up pace soon in the episodes to come, so I'm excited to see where that goes.
