I watched the last two episodes and they are simply amazing. What happens in the episode very well refers to “Romeo and Juliet” without slipping into direct copying. Also, I think this episode will be really helpful to the show's target audience, if not in a romantic way, then in a friendship way. For when more than two are friends, that is where jealousy will appear. I also liked the cute moments, like the encouragement from Minato, Spanner not being able to hit even a copy of Kyoko, and Kajiki remembering Hiyori. The guest actors were also used much more successfully than in the hot spring story.
I know a lot of people are clamoring for a new form for Rinne (which she'll probably get), but in my opinion, using existing powers in an clever way is much cooler than gaining new ones. A lunar eclipse is a great (and timely) idea.
With Lachesis we seem to be entering Birth and Birth Proto Type territory. I have nothing against it, although Spanner is right that Lachesis’s loyalty is highly questionable.
The appearance of the Abyssal King does not particularly please me, because it is entering the same territory as Ark and Giff. On the plus side, he does seem menacing, but how creepy will he be when the huge CGI monster is replaced by a bulky suit? Don't know.
In the next episode: Hotaro and Clotho's team-up. It's great that they remembered their confrontation. The two are a perfect match: Clotho fights to the limit, with a fatalistic motto of "win or die," while Gotchard regularly pushes his limits, making the impossible a reality.
