Genius? What's so genius about it? It's just mashing together several ideas with very minor thematic similarities. Any fanfic writer can do it.

The writer make Ark-One appear just because it's a malice AI, so when it's combined with a Chemy (which is probably the Zero-One or Zero-Two Chemy), it will form the Ark Malgam. The very minor similarities is that both the Ark and a Malgam are formed by malice. The Ark-Malgam will then very likely fight KR Zein.

I, whose best accomplishment in creative writing was getting an A for high school homework, have even come up with several such ideas myself, such as:
- Make the riders form Revice appear via the very convenient pArAlLeL wOrLd trope, and turn them into Malgams. They use their inner demons to transform, and demons love malice, right? So, the Revice riders would make great Malgams, right? Make Ikki bond with the Ultimate Revice Chemy.
- Make KR Chaser (or Mashin Chaser) appear via the same method, and make him fight or help Spanner/KR Valvarad. They have machine as motif, and both also had kaijin forms with the same motif. They fit well, right?
- Make KR Evol Black Hole appear via the same method, and make him fight Fuga/KR Wind. They have black hole motif, so they fit well, right?
- Make KR Blades Fantastic Lion appear via the same method, and make him help Rinne/KR Majade. They have mythical horse motif (pegasus for the Tenkuu no Pegasus WRB, and unicorn for the Unicon RCC), so they fit well, right?
- Make KR Kuuga and KR OOO appear via the same method, and make them team up because they both transform with ancient artifacts. They fit well, right?
- Make Ace Ukiyo appear via the same method, and make him transform into God Greeed. Greeeds in KR OOO are created from humans' desires, and Geats riders use Desire Drivers. They fit well, right?
- etc

See? This kind of shallow logic was what I meant by Outsiders-ism/Yuuya-ism in this post. Like I said above, it's basically just a mashup of several ideas with very minor similarities, yet huge dissimilarities. This kind of atrocious writing aims to create an illusion of grandiose narrative, at the expense of logical consistency and common sense. There's a reason why the stories in KR Decade and KR Zi-O (and other anniversary/crossover/team-up stories) make little to no sense. And why should old characters from a separate series be involved in new stories? Isn't that one of the signs of creative bankruptcy?

So, please don't casually throw around the word genius like it means nothing. You debase the meaning of genius if you use it carelessly like that. You make it sound like a genius is a common occurrence, which is not. Oh, and casually labeling a mediocre writer as genius will only stunt his growth, not only as a writer but also as a person.

Gotchard's story is still on track, if and only if the infection caused by this Legend "arc" only lasts 2 episodes and ends in episode 33. Until it's proven to be a 2-parter filler episodes, there's still a 50:50 chance that this Legend "arc" will derail Gotchard's main storyline. So far, the signs are pointing in the opposite direction. I don't ever remember Bandai advertising a new DX toy in just 2 special episodes and 1 regular episode. If it lasts until the debut of KR Gotchard's final form in episode 38-40, then the story is FUBAR.

I watch this show to see a story about alchemy, not a random story involving a convenient pArAlLeL wOrLd trope. I want to watch KR Gotchard, not KR Decade v3.0 or KR Zi-O v2.0. There are many other tropes about alchemy that can be incorporated, such as philosopher's stone, elixir, the grand book of alchemy, etc. The writers should also expand the Alchemys Union which I think is very empty for such a big organization. They have barely developed the Sisters' characterization, and now they add 3 new enemy generals?

This. I fully concur with your statements in bold. The writers are trying to mash several stories together and hope that the result will make sense. Surprise, surprise!

The problem with KR Gotchard is that the side content (KR Legend spin-off) is infecting the main storyline. And the bigger problem is that KR Gotchard's main storyline is not only infected by KR Legend, but also by the crappiest of the crappiest of the crappiest side contents: KR Outsiders.

Main content should be left as main content. Side content should be left as side content. Canon stories should be left as canon stories. Non-canon stories should be left as non-canon stories. Regular series should be left as regular series. Anniversary series should be left as anniversary series. Abruptly transforming a regular series into an anniversary series just to advertise a new toy is one of the weirdest decisions I've ever seen in TV production.

Let's hope that this Legend "arc" is just a filler 2-parter that began in episode 32 and ends in episode 33. If it continues for several more episodes, then Gotchard's story is definitely screwed up by the producers/writers themselves.

And I haven't even begin to talk about Rinne's transformation in the Gotchard-Geats collab film. Long story short, putting the crucial development of a main character in a crappy non-canon film is just a bad narrative move.
