Which would be a lot more forgivable if he was actually an important character in this narrative. The title isn't lying that he's 100 years too early.
Haha. That was what I thought too. He's Gary Stu, a male Mary Sue. Butler is basically the writer's onscreen persona who introduces Kaguya as a Gary Stu.
On second thought, introducing a Gary Stu is not that bad. It's the blatant asspulls that made me chuckle several times. A Gary Stu is already quite a logic-breaking character, and the writer also added several asspulls? Great, Mr. Uchida! :V It's a good recipe for a total mess of a story.

Unfortunately, that's probably what's gonna happen, like I (and several other members of this forum) have been worrying about. Though it's more like Gotchard & Legend than Legend feat. Gotchard, Legend's inclusion in the main storyline is enough to break it. Congratulations, Gotchard's producers and writers! :V

I'm talking about the parallel world trope in Gotchard that suddenly appeared. There was nothing in the story prior to episode 32 that hinted about it, except the KR Legend spin-off which viewers thought was just another non-canon side contents. There's nothing in the story that can justify its existence.
The parallel world trope was first used in Decade to facilitate the crossover with the previous series for the anniversary theme. It's a trick which secrets have already been revealed. Viewers would already be able to guess the direction of the story when a parallel world trope is involved, especially in the KR franchise. So, if it's used again in a new story, then that story will lose its magic. Crossover/mashup stories also create the risk of confusing your audience if mixed up with the main storylines. It will dilute the internal logic of all the stories involved. The risk of making your audience confused is my main point in

The parallel world trope is basically the easiest and most convenient trope that a writer can use to hijack the characters from other stories. It's basically what I had in mind since I was a kid, haha. Or, if you want to handle it in the most rough manner possible, then you should do a Yuuya: Simply hijack three main Riders from Ryuki and just insert them into your story without any explanation whatsoever, not even via the parallel world trope.

Since when it's called Aurora Curtain? I've never heard of it. As far as I know, the term Aurora Curtain was first mentioned in the KR Legend spin-off episode 1. Before that episode, it existed as a mere nameless portal since Decade.

Remember, episodes 32-34 were written by Hiroki Uchida, one of the writers from KR Outsiders. I smell that Hiroki Uchida's writing philosophy is similar to Yuuya Takahashi's: Anything that can be made convoluted,
will
be made convoluted.
