I do wonder about that myself...with a lot of the changes to be honest. For something that touted itself more authentic to the manga, it made just as many changes as Out of Control did.

Only reason I can think of is to either add drama or they were worried about pacing as they clearly knee which point to end on. One I'm not sure you'll be happy with if I'm honest.
