Being greedy and cruel sounds like the certainty of them bringing harm to others. Not in physical attacks like toku villains do but in how she's cutthroat type to employ dog-eat-dog situation and likely do anything to reach the top without caring if she'd harm others in the process.

The main difference is that Kajiki is presumably not a child or sibling of a monster, but his heroic determination to protect Hijiri is the same. I feel bitter that the display of determination to protect, done by males (like Kajiki here), is praised as heroism, but females are never referred as that or have this part of them swept under the rug even if they're well-received (albeit yes most of the female active Riders are the morally ambiguous type, while many of the straight up heroic ones are one-time like Kanon Spectre), Like for instance, things like empathy, gentleness, caring, tolerance, sensitivity, nurturance, or compassion are dismissed as relegating females as stereotypes, rather than acknowledging how it can lead to true heroism because heroism would need them to be in touch to people.
