I think that it’s good we’re getting a string of more showa-style Kamen Rider series. Getting a writer who is mostly good at lighter, comedy stuff (zyuohger has good drama moments fight me) shows they're probably going for something like that.

Like I know that people over here like the super edgy rider series and the ones with experimental storytelling, but these are still shows aimed at children, and we had a string of rider series with very complex plots that varied in actual quality. Even if the toys did well, it’s not hard to see why something like Geats could alienate that audience.

Basically I’m fine if this is a series that’s not plot heavy and is mostly about fighting monsters and has good comedy and characters, like Gotchard, I’m fine with that. I don’t have a problem with more Gotchard style shows.

Well I hope they turn down the “new power every other episode” thing, but that’s less a Gotchard problem and more a problem with the series since like, Ghost.
