Just got done reading "Shift" which is the oneshot focused on of the side characters in the Massive-Verse, and I think the thing I like most about it is that the whole story doesn't hide the fact that Shift himself is a self-serving asshole to the end, even going so far as to outright reject any notion of a sympathetic backstory. Contrast to Rogue Sun, where the reader is somehow supposed to sympathize with literally anything going on despite how awful almost everyone is. That they included a timeline of Shift's' activities at the end of the book was nice to have too.

The short of it is that Rogue Sun pisses on your head and tells you it's raining, whereas Shift is honest with itself.

I also finally got around to reading the Supermassive crossovers of 2023 and 2024, and both were interesting in their own ways. While each Supermassive crossover does appear to be canon, the exact ways in which they fit is kinda weird. The one that probably slots in the "best" is the second one, which is also the one I personally like the most. Heck, the surprise cameo at the end of it certainly elevated it to another level.

That being said, with how Supermassive 3 went, the fact that viewers got to vote on how exactly the current arc of Radiant Black is going to end is very interesting, and while I personally missed the vote, I'm hoping that the one I would've voted for is the one that ends up winning out.
