Although Wizard is by no means among my favorite Rider series, I'd told folks it's probably the best to watch if you intend to watch one, and only one, episode of Kamen Rider. The introduction is fantastic, and yeah, Wizard's rider debut is phenomenal. I'd peeked at it during my initial "maybe I want to try a Rider series?" phase, so I think it was among the first I'd sampled, although the seeming absence of forward story-arc momentum ultimately led to Fourze being the first Rider series I actually *finished.*

This was the year when the chattiness of the Driver started to seriously bother me. "Shabadoobie touch henshin!" was just... just no. At the time, I didn't appreciate Wizard's relatively elegant henshin posing, which only got seriously nutty in Gaim. Now? I wish newer shows had this show's relative restraint.
