The reaction Sachika had. That precise reaction of grabbing an helmet and a bat to fight and defend Shouma, while everyone knows she is not a fighter at all. The comedy. That's the kind of scene they usually give to female character who don't fight and are more here for support/funny purpose. It's the gap between the "we know she can't fight" and that reaction that makes it funny and touching.

Someone like Mei in Saber could do that. But someone that would become a rider and suddenly throw hands/know how to fight ??? eeeh. I guess it wouldn't be unheard of, but I don't think that would match with what we've seen.

Just you wait until she's a rider and that bat is her main weapon XD

Jokes aside, I do see your reasoning but that could just as viably be foreshadowing, showing that she's ready and willing to fight and that all she still needs is the physical power
