I think it's what people would call a "moments" show. There are some cool parts for sure, but most of the show is filler and despite the smaller cast, Hiba gets a substantially larger fraction of the focus and development. As a result, I probably think of Hiba being a bad*ss and Sun Vulcan Robo's innovative design more than anything else about Sun Vulcan.

I can vouch for Goggle V. It's the first Sentai written by Soda, so you should notice that it's subtly different from Sun Vulcan, with a lot more focus on the characters.
