Yeah, it's really the show taking the early episodes' plot of Ankh desperately needing Cell Medals and handing it over to Date. Ankh still sort of needs Cell Medals to, uh, live, but we've leveled up out of that part of the narrative into a hunt for Core Medals. It's very economical of the show to give the jettisoned premise to its Secondary, which is thematically appropriate!
