But these are minor things, but the ending is excellent.
Fair point. I enjoyed it in the moment, but I cannot invest emotionally in either of the dynamics discussed. Chassirou's friendship with Taiya only exists in the manga and Grantz's subservience to Spindo wasn't really questioned before. I think the better contrast to Grantz would be Maimi, who Chassirou actually convinced to betray Tokoyari. A double agent made by a double agent, how impressive! Maimi deceived me as well, she was so good at pretending to be evil when she was beating up Jyo, but I'm glad that she and Shirabe are still friends.

It's probably forgotten now, but I'd ask you to remember that pleasant feeling.
I was still seeing all the the usual Japanese scenery from Geats and Gotchard, so it's not like Boonboomger brought that back to Super Hero Time for me or anything.

It does feel like one of those shows where the villains are generally more intriguing than the heroes, with increasing depravity from Cannonborg to Disrace to Spindo. I used to think of the 3 Losers as a distraction, but it seems that I ended up being completely wrong about them. The recurring theme of autonomy is represented in them better than anybody else here and they're surprisingly easy to sympathize with. Of course, I must also mention that bad*ss Madwrecks, big respect to that guy.

I have the opposite opinion that Boonboomger is now my least favorite in my
Reiwa Sentai Ranking:
1) King-Ohger
2) Zenkaiger
3) Kiramager
4) Donbrothers
5) Boonboomger
However, with only 5 entries, this isn't even a harsh thing to say. It has been a competitive era so far and ultimately, I think Boonboomger ended up making too many mistakes to surpass any of them, IMO. The car has succeeded in reaching the destination in a spectacular way, but that car is now a jalopy.
The final arc was pretty great, except that Episode 45 spent a lot of time on Taiya's backstory, which could've been shown all the way back in Episode 9 when Shirabe actually asked him about it. Instead, he told her, "I don't know.", which turned out to be a lie. It's a decent enough backstory that makes him sound more sympathetic, so it's a complete mystery to me why Tomioka refused to reveal it until now.
Other than that, I appreciate how every character had something important to contribute to the outcome. Taiya fixing up Bundorio, Chassirou exposing Spindo's weakpoint, Mira playing the bait, Jyo being the most wholesome guy ever, Genba saving more Yarucars, Sakito and Byundy killing the Killers and Shirabe arresting Tokoyari and Naito.
Speaking of Naito, the show doesn't hide away from his immoral reason for betraying Taiya. He even lied to his nephew. Like, you know you failed as an uncle when your nephew doesn't believe you and starts cheering for your enemies. Sometimes there are just bad humans like Tokoyari and Naito who don't have any noble intentions. It sounds like Naito might've been good at some point, but he became cynical and he more or less admits it.
Now I'll just mention some general good points throughout the show that I think made this worth watching. Jyo is a true hero. Genba's thrilling mystery and personal arc. Mira got a few decent focus episodes. Sakito is entertaining. The Go-Onger and Goranger crossovers. Madwrecks and the 3 Losers were memorable. Bundorio being the reliable heart of the team. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff I can praise about it, so I just wish that the rest was up to the same level of quality.
Overall, Boonboomger is neither amazing nor terrible for me. Or maybe it's both. Who knows? Well, either way, I don't regret watching it, but I probably won't rewatch it anytime soon. That's just my honest opinion. Thanks for the weird ride, I guess.
BTW, if you're observant, then maybe you noticed that I switched Kiramager and Donbrothers. After re-evaluation, I decided that I haven't appreciated Kiramager strongly enough. I think I need to rewatch Kiramager at some point, since my original experience with it was soured by those obvious real life circumstances.
