It wouldn't shock me? I've been pretty on the record with my criticism of Gotou's actor, and similarly transparent about my enjoyment of Date's addition to the series. I can't imagine the production team wasn't having an equivalent sense that Date was way smarter to build around as a Secondary than Gotou. Date's stuff just works better onscreen than anything Gotou's trying to get across?
