Nyelve's relative weakness further explains why he can sympathize with humans while his stronger siblings became elitist. Perhaps this is where we can see a glimpse of his motivation. Granute society is clearly hostile to him if not for his intelligence making him useful to keep around, so it would make sense for him to want to change this status quo so that the highest positions are no longer guarded by the strong yet inept.

Yes, Michiru was Bouche's wife, so the simple conclusion is that they got married and had a legitimate child. I believe that stockholm syndrome is much more likely and PG-friendly than the alternative theory that extreme Bouche haters believe.
