I got the two similar terms mixed up, oops. Toei, stop making it so hard for someone who isn't watching the currently airing show or keeping up with all the staff interviews to speculate on what is going on!

Regardless, it sounds like a deliberate nod from Gozyuger to the next series, it's just less clean cut than I first thought.
