You mean like a 10 Years After special? I'm down. Popular TV dramas have spin-offs or epilogue special episodes in Japan all the time, so it's doable. For example, the first season of Gokusen had their epilogue special where it dealt with the divide between the class that Yankumi (the protagonist) teaches, specifically the ones who are going on to college and those who didn't get accepted.
