It just comes down to "what is easiest to understand" and half-translated sentences with honourifics, the meaning of which are completely lost on me as a non-Japanese speaker, does not make it easy to understand while I'm watching the action.

I wasn't being specific to you. It's just that the mention of TVN seems to always be followed by a hoard of upset fellows whose Toku experience has been allegedly ruined. It's just the cool thing to hate, I suppose.

I can understand where it's difficult for people too. TVN did not do a good job by any stretch of the word when it came to translating a lot of the individual phrases from Gekiranger. The viewer is just kind of expected to figure them out over time. I guess it just bothers some people a whole lot more than others.
