Yeah, one of Zyuranger's biggest failings is that it has a really dull cast of one-dimensional characters. Most of the kids of the week get more development in one episode than the Zyurangers do over the course of fifty.

Edit: So I'm up to episode seven of Kakuranger and I legitimately can't decide which is more awesome: that the villain is clearly modeled after Terry Bogard or that Tsuruhime has to disguise herself as a hamburger. This show is very much the fun kind of insane.
