When looking at markets for certain items and whether or not one is clearly "better" than the other, the ability to quickly find something for a reasonable price makes a significant impact. There are various Japanese toy/hobby websites, but they don't always have Tensouders on them, let alone for prices near 3000 yen on a reliable basis. Comparing two items when the distribution of one is clearly severely lopsided seems to not be a real comparison.

If you're waiting for an item to be available at a certain price, it's not saturating the market, unless a collector's item such as the Tensouder's market is so drastically low.

I'd say there are a lot more factors going into these decisions.

raz here has the best answer, in my opinion. Objectively, the Tensouder might be a better made toy, but it's useless for me because Power Rangers is a stronger brand pull for me than Goseiger was. The very fact that it's Power Rangers and celebrating the Power Rangers anniversary sealed my decision to look for a Gosei Morpher instead (still looking).

It also helps that it's the best morpher we've gotten in years for Power Rangers. Decently well-made and a lot of features, beats the cheap, hollow plastic morphers we've been getting for a few years now.

Thus, if you want a Power Rangers morpher, a Tensouder, no matter how good or well-made, simply won't cut it because it makes Goseiger sounds, not Power Rangers.
