I figured it wasn't Toho's call. Sony tends to be terrible at this, if it's their decision, though. I know Godzilla and the daikaiju film is a niche genre and it won't make them truckloads of money, but it wouldn't kill or bankrupt them to release some of the harder to find a Godzilla movies...
