How many times must I tell you canker-blossoms? That was Libra pretending to be DiEnd who unleashed the giant machine. The only reason DiEnd was burnt was because Libra burned him to make him seem like the culprit. He was unconscious for the entire final battle, and woke up feeling sour towards Tsukasa because of his plan.

Anyway, I voted for Super Hero Taisen because of my explanation.
