[Kagezuno]

Never seemed to have an idea of what it wanted to be, or couldn't be what it wanted (a dark "serious" sentai show--with lovable wacky robots!), kept ending prematurely (no one really ever seemed that sad about losing their parents, too. Seems a major miss), kept the focus on Messiah too long when Enter was the most entertaining villain, kept picking up and dropping plot threads and doing really wacky comedy that wasn't all that funny.

It got its act together at the end but . . .ehhh. I know following Gokaiger was no picnic, but that doesn't excuse them not trying, at least.

On the plus side, "Busters Ready GO!" was a catchy tune, the crossover with Gavan was pretty rad,J was the only Buddyroid whose antics didn't grate, and when Enter stepped up, the show got a lot of energy back.

4/10 for me--Even when sentai is bad, it's pretty good, but Toei can do much, much, better than this.
