This is what I said in the other thread after seeing the first episode:

I watched the first episode last night. It was alright. I wasn't as enthralled with it as I was the first episode of Shinkenger, but I also wasn't as turned off by it as I was the first episode of Dekarange.

Theme song is pretty enjoyable, that chameleon chick is pretty hot, the rangers seemed cool so far, the action was good. Jan is a spaz aproaching the annoyance level of Ban. It really confused me though, because he looks all serious in the opening credits, then turned out to be jungle-spaz-boy.

Also, wtf is up with the hideous puppet creatures? The ridiculous level of fakeness of Doggy from Dekaranger annoyed me, but this cat creature, what's his name, Shifu? It terrifies me. It's so ridiculous looking, the mouth is barely articulated, his paws are freakish small, and everytime it opened its eyes and stared into the camera I felt it trying to steal my soul. I'm honestly thankful I didn't have nightmares last night.

But other than that, it was not bad. The minions hopping around looks stupid, but the fight choreography was interesting enough they didn't bother me too much. I look forward to seeing where the show goes. I just hope that cat-demon isn't featured much.

After seeing episodes 2 and 3, okay Shafu isn't Satan come for my soul, but he's still very disturbing.

Mele is very hot. Can I join the evil team?

Jan wasn't quite as spastic these episodes, I hope he calms down a little more though. But really my main problem is how serious he looks in the opening sequence, but his face is never that calm or focused in the episode.

I really enjoy the martial arts, and the mecha fights are good so far. I don't mind the commentary, but I don't like the fly. So far I like director whatshername, and Ran and Retsu.

Did I mention that Mele is hot? Ran isn't bad either.

So far, I don't like the mech designs. I tend to not be a fan of mecha-beasts that turn into full on humanoid robots. I don't hate GekiTouja, it's certainly not a deal breaker, but it's nowhere as cool as Shinkenoh, or DekaRobo, or Daibouken, in my opinion.

But I'm enjoying the series, it's fun, and I'm definitely along for the rest of the ride. And I want GekiRanger figuarts now.

Oh, and 5 second advert at the end of the episode for Den-O made me sad that I wasn't watching Den-O. I love that show.
