Long, the antagonist of Gekiranger, is immortal. They had to seal him away into a small orb. Bringing him back is a huge plot hole or continuity gaff because you literally can't just kill him by virtue of Rider/Ranger army.

Basically, it's not the resurrection, but it's who they chose to revive...
