After having these guys (FangJoker/Skull) for two days, I can say for sure: the hips are not hindered.

I'll make sure to take more pics next time I have my camera out to illustrate, but the soft pieces around the hips are only stiff for about a few poses before the gradually loosen up. They can sit, crouch, run, all that good stuff. You just have to make sure the rubber bits slip over the legs. (Otherwise the rubber can push the legs off their pegs) They're not as clear as Tajador, but short of sidesplits can do everything you'd expect. It's just a matter of loosening the rubber pieces up gradually and making sure to not leave them in poses that really bend the rubber. (since it can stay bent, BUT you can always bend it back) I can deffinately see why people would think they are, because they're deffinately resisteance, but the rubber's a shifty eyed guy before a poker champ. He'll fold soon enough.

Again, these are some of the most, if not the most, solid and well-crafted action figures I own. I can't think of anything I'd expect them to do that they don't.
