But watching this reminds me of why I pretty much stopped watching newer Power Rangers (sans RPM, which was a darker series overall) and that is it's just...too over the top and silly. And the dancing, oh my God the dancing, the end credits are PAINFUL. Also a bit annoyed with the repetitive chompachompa crap through every single fight so far. Oh and the mecha fight at the end was really underwhelming I felt. The actual gattai sequence was nice, if a bit on the long side, but the fight? It was short, had way too much cgi, and it was just unimpressive to me, nothing really happened and it felt like it was there because it had to be.

If you're into this, then ya know to each their own. But I can't do it. There is too much about this series rubbing me the wrong way. The sounds, the music, the designs, just how..silly it all is. I think the only thing I really like is the concept behind the villains, them being tied to an emotion and how they basically have to go out and cause whatever emotion it is to power up/revive their master, such as the sorrow dude making all those people sad, for example. That is kinda cool. Everything else....no.

Hope you guys that do like the show enjoy the rest of the season. I'm sitting this one out.
