This was a vague comment that summarized the fact that Gokaiger suits and footage were planned for Power Rangers Super Megaforce. During the event, fans were expecting that Gokaiger would be used for Power Rangers Megaforce. The poster, press release, and marketing teaser revealed the Goseiger Suits usage. After I got more details about the concept, I had mixed feelings on whether I like the concept at this time. As mentioned before in the past (via Twitter and RangerCrew), not everyone will be a fan. I don’t mind because I loved the Gokaiger Suits and the concepts utilized in Gokaiger to promote the anniversary.

Goseiger Suits
Goseiger Suits will be the primary suits for Power Rangers Megaforce and Super Megaforce. The decision makes sense for consistency with Power Rangers Samurai’s two year branding. The first season will utilize most (if not all) of Goseiger’s storyline, zords, and Ultra Mode in the twenty episodes. The one thing that bothered me was the fact that they used the “Ultra Mode” terminology rather than “Super Mode” for consistency with Super Samurai and Goseiger.

Gokaiger Suits

How can you not love the beautiful Gokaiger suits? I’m not an active Sentai fan, but I got pure respect for Gokaiger’s success in the anniversary elements. When I first heard about Goseiger suits in Megaforce, I was disappointed that Saban Brands would either skip the Gokaiger suits or use them two years later. The Goseiger Suits will remain as the primary suits in Super Megaforce, but we will see the Gokaiger suits as expected. Power Rangers Super Megaforce will focus on Gokaiger footage to promote Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to Power Rangers Megaforce using the Gokaiger suits and past Rangers. The season will have cameos, but no confirmation on their usage and who has been invited. The filming photos have leaked Jason Smith’s possible appearance in the season. The filming photos showed Black Wild Force Ranger and Lost Galaxy Rangers, which are two of the transformation “powers” that we will see in Super Megaforce.
The Gokaiger Suits will be used as a power up in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. The teenagers will use the Gosei Morpher to transform into the Megaforce Power Rangers (Gosei Suits). The Rangers will have the ability to transform to the Gokaiger Suits, which will act as the “Super Mode” (not confirmed name). This mode will allow the Rangers to transform into the Past Rangers form to match the Gokaiger footage. The Black Ranger will upgrade to Green Gokai Suit.

Silver Ranger
There is no solid confirmation on whether Gokai Silver will be used, but we will most likely see this suit used as the Sixth Ranger to match the Gokaiger footage.

My thoughts
Here is my two cents about this information. The following is my personal opinion based on the above information. Don’t copy and paste the following because this is just my speculation. Feel free to post your thoughts on the information at RangerCrew.
There is no confirmation on the Ranger Key usage, but I am willing to guess that the Super Mode and Silver Ranger will use the Keys as seen in the Gokaiger footage. We may see original footage in each episode unless they find a way to go straight into Super Mode (once again, not a confirmed name). If they want to maintain footage, they can utilize Cards for the transition to Megaforce Rangers to Super Mode. We’ve seen the Goseiger Cards in Power Rangers Megaforce, which shows that they don’t always utilize original content to the true potential. One primary example is the Morph Cards, which I personally feel should’ve been Original Cards. It would be interesting if the Rangers use the Mobirates to transform into Super Mode with the Rangers Keys, but I would prefer that the morphing device is exclusive to the Gokai Suits.
I’m fine with the Black Ranger to Green Ranger transformation. They will probably edit some of the Gokai Green’s scenes to reduce the silly nature to match Jake’s personality. I’m hoping that they will explain why Jake’s color changes from Black to Green.
There is no confirmation on whether Goseiger zords will be used in second season. My guess is that they won’t be because the first season is already utilizing all of the zord combinations. I wouldn’t mind a healthy usage of both Goseiger and Gokaiger zord fights. It all depends on the chosen monsters for the second season. The Rangers (in Super Mode) would make sense for piloting the GokaiOh.
I’m not a big fan of the concept (at this time) because it doesn’t feel fluid. Here is an example of Troy transforming into a Past Ranger. One thing to keep in mind is that the concept may look fantastic on the show. I am only judging it based on the transformation path. I’m hoping that we will see instamorphs from teenagers to Super Mode.
Troy -> (It’s Morphin Time, Go Go Megaforce) -> Megaforce Red Ranger -> (unknown means of transformation) -> Pirate Suit -> (unknown means of transformation / possibly Ranger Keys) -> Past Rangers

I am still excited about the remainder of Power Rangers Megaforce as well as Super Megaforce. Please keep in mind that Power Rangers Super Megaforce is currently filming and that you should reserve judgement until you have seen the final product.
