And Jen couldn't do that. She has knowledge only from her Timeline. But when Ransack escaped and travelled back in time with Jen and the other Time Force in pursuit, they altered that Timeline. Something not touched on in the show cause.. confusing. But. So the knowledge she has would only be of her future and not all possible futures.

It was already stated that Ransick's actions altered the future and the timeline as a whole.
It was never stated that the series used a split timeline, since that requires the use of alternate universes in it's own universe.
