This was a rather interesting show that came out during 1996 with Shirakura Shinichiro and Inoue Toshiki as leads(They were responsible for most of the Heisei stuff minus Kuuga and First-half of Hibiki). One thing to note is that it was shot on video instead of film which Carranger and B-Fighter Kabuto was filmed with. One trivial thing I noticed is it also suffered the cancellation treatment like Gundam X, and reduced to 39 episodes instead of the planned 52. It also introduced the Toku fandom to Hagino Takashi as Suzumura Akira, a playboy private eye(who later took the role of Asakura Takeshi/ Kamen Rider Ohja), as well as Aizawa Kazunari as S.A.I.D.O.C. agent Hayami Katsuhiko(who later appeared in the Rider franchise as the Tarantula Undead in Kamen Rider Blade). Hero and Monster designs were done by Tamotsu Shinohara famous for the Undead and Rinjyuken Akugata designs, and the beloved Okamoto Jiro(suit actor for Kamen Rider Black, KAMEN RIDER OHJA, Kamen Rider Leangle, Kintaros, Shinkengold to name a few) was the suit actor for the titular hero.
I personally skimmed through a few episodes, and although it may not be an all-time favorite, I like how it was trying different things compared to other Tokusatsu within Toei that year. Plus.... HE SPARKLES!
