Well, the rumor mill has it that Tzachor said to someone somewhere that he doesn't consider Wild Force through RPM as "continuity", thus why RPM is a "different universe". How they got Eka to come back and voice his character is beyond me, though he did go through a "screen name" and not his actual name. But still ... none of the other RPM Rangers? No out of suit footage for what we did get? Seemed incredibly forced to me.

I don't necessarily agree with that, and while I don't have any concrete information, my imagination would lead me to believe that TOEI more or less forced the "movie" footage in with the television footage when Saban bought the rights to it. That being said, either use it and try to profit or don't use it at all ... and Saban chose to use it, make it a "two-parter" or "mini-movie", and put only as much in to it as they had to ... which wasn't much at all.

I'd like to believe it means we're going to get team-ups galore, but the truth of the matter is ... unless the Sentai footage and storyline calls for it, we won't. When I see words "adaption" and "translation" in the opening scenes of each episode, I'm reminded that Saban didn't hire WRITERS ... but rather ADAPTIONISTS ... people that can turn a Japanese show in to an American show while keeping a majority of the storyline of the Japanese show intact.

Think of it as a voice over company, like FUNimation, simply adding English voices to the footage. It's just barely one step above that.
