I fully agree that in most cases in the world, society would be much better if people did things outside of contracts and pay-slips, but unfortunately I have to say that this is simply not one of those cases.

The way I see it, is:

1. Saban has a history of being terrible at compromising.
2. The actors are not an organized group, and outside of their respective seasons probably don't know other Ranger actors that well. Some actors can't out of union obligations.
3. Even if they wanted to compromise, this was such a last minute decision that there is too little time to do so.
4. Most actors probably had a bad experience under Saban so that deters them from even daring to compromise. Don't stir the pot, so to speak.
5. It is simply not worth it to fight for what amounts to tiny roles in what is looking like a half-hearted anniversary series.
