Look at Xbox 720! The launch titles are the new CoD game, and EA Sports! If that doesn't prove my point I don't know what else will. If nothing else, I'll be buying a WiiU looks like. When I play a game I just want to relax. That's all.

In fairness, Microsoft did say they wouldn't be focusing on games. The event was purely to showcase the new console, with all the games being shown in a few weeks at E3. It was a pretty terrible announcement, totally failing to understand their audience.. but I think people are totally overreacting. It's not going to focus on social media or being a multimedia hub any more than the PS4 is. That's still a bad thing for many, but like you said, the Wii U is where you should be heading if you're angry about that. Seeing so many claim they're "moving over to Playstation" is mindboggling.

Whilst its cool and everything I don't really see why it's happened. Lots of people wanting to buy Lego city maybe? That's all I see adverts for for the WiiU .

The Xbox One reveal has nothing (or little?) to do with it. Amazon cut the price of the Wii U by around £100, so sales have obviously picked up. Gaming blogs have just used the fact the Xbox was just announced with a negative reception to get more hits
