To be completely fair, the same thing happens to the movie industry. For every blockbuster, you have 3-4 films coming out to ride the coattails of what's big.

No yeah, the series has great art direction. I'm not too thrilled with how the games are heading, but the art and aesthetics are still something I enjoy about the series, ESPECIALLY the Forerunner landscapes and buildings.
I highly recommend the art books that they release for the brand. Great stuff.
