Zero is just down right boring and I don't even know how it has anything to do with Macross outside of Roy showing up in a few scenes and you see the Macross being fixed. There was nothing Macross about it and it felt pointless because it does nothing to enhance the original show. If you are going to do a prequel, you need to make it so it feels like it belongs there and has a purpose.

7 is just the same episode over and over again.

Plus takes way too long to do anything and does not have any pay off in the end. I will say that the movie version is vastly superior to the OVA version.

II feels like it should have been a 13 episode series condensed into 2 hours.

I stopped watching Frontier after 5 episodes. It was the worst thing I have ever seen with the name Macross on it.

The other problem is all of these series just don't fit with the original show. The Macross was destroyed at the end, and yet, sometimes it is still sitting there as if nothing happened. Exedol looks nothing like he did in the series in Macross 7.
