So episode 5 of OOO was better but still not great. It was fun to see Eiji take some of his own initiative finally, as he was pretty much overshadowed by a rubber hand up until this point. There is nothing inherently wrong with him, but I just think Gen is a really great protagonist who ticks all the boxes and Eiji just feels a lot less interesting in comparison. That said, considering Eiji is quite the fighter when he henshins, I would have liked to have seen him stand up for himself more and not just run away. What is it with Kamen Rider protagonists who have insane fighting skills when they transform but are practically a spare part the rest of the time?

Either way it's nice to watch a series where the villains get directly involved, right from the beginning, even if the villains aren't all that impressive at this point for story reasons. I can't wait to see these guys at full power.

And I like that they are going for a hole horror thing with the Greed but after watching Kuuga this all feels so very tame. Plus, one thing I really didn't miss from Wizard was the asshole of the week style of story telling that OOO uses as well. Eurgh.

Episode Six was once okay but nothing special. That Happy Birthday guy is cool in how odd he is and the fights were still ambitious, even if the new form was kinda underwhelming. And I will say that even with the running away in the last episode, they've at least put in more effort to convince Eiji is in the suit than they did with Godai in Kuuga. But it still just isn't clicking for me in the same way Fourze has.

Speaking of Fourze, just watched episode ten, how can you dislike a show with this much heart? Episode ten had me grinning like a fool. This episode was also really well shot and directed as well, I loved the heartfelt conversation between Gen and Tomoko on the moon and the use of associated close ups.

It even made some sense of the whole teenager thing, being that the way teenagers are, they can access aspects of the Switches others couldn't. Sorta like the Power Rangers I guess. It's kinda dumb but after Kuuga I'm happy that the series wants to try and explain itself.

Also, Fire States is awesome. Electric States feels kinda pointless, Fire States came so soon after it and outshined it so thoroughly.
