If actionFX-porn is scheduled every 9 episodes, well that left an episode around ~18, and we can expect the 2 or 3 last ones to go full CGI as usual.
At the end of season 2, there was a lot of stuff in a pretty raw state, without texturing and with recycled animations. I guess they learned how to dispatch their budget since then.
