TTGL came out right as I was starting to realize exactly what I liked and what I wanted in terms of a show, the point where I just didn't watch every little anime just because it was an anime, if you know what I mean.
I just felt dulled by it.

And GaoGaiGar did the drills a decade before them (This isn't a serious point, before you get angry. )
