Amy Jo Johnson, in the role of the Pink Ranger, is an icon of the 1990s as far as I am concerned. All of us the right age had a crush on her at some point. I personally was always a fan of Thuy Trang, but AJJ was always a welcome sight.

The fact that she was the best actor of the original teens shines through. During her tenure of the show, it was clear that Kim grew and developed, becoming a very well rounded and thought out character, a young woman with infinite heart and compassion, but also great depths of courage and resourcefulness. Beyond her origins as Valley Girl stereotype, she entered a rarified group of superheroines in my book. Beautiful and powerful, I put her among giants such as Wonder Woman, Hawkwoman, and Susan Storm. To me she will always be "The" Pink Ranger in the PR mythos.

I just watched one of my personal favorite Kim-centric stories (Wild West Rangers), which is just icing on the coincidence cake. I love the joke in that episode when the Ranger's ancestors ask her what her name is, and her response is "Calamity Kim," which was the title of a season 1 Kimberly episode where she had terrible luck. Great callback gag!

I was going to comment on the risque glamour picture, but then I remembered that we did have Shirt Rip Leo last time, so if it's good for the goose it's good for the gander!
