to import figures from Japan, so can't hold shipping and middleman fees against them. Figuarts aren't made for foreign collectors to import, they're made for Japanese collectors to pick up from Hobby shop shelves just as we buy toys from supermarkets or toy shops.
And for the record - last month I bought Super Akiba Red, Kamen Rider Beast and Dragonranger from Amiami. The total cost including shipping?
£55.
So yeah. Your numbers are extremely exaggerated.
Even if you play it that way, Figuarts are a 15 quid range, so are the Neca Evil Dead figures. Now the Neca Evil Dead figures granted don't have swappable hands or the extreme articulation, they are however much sturdier and come with a wide range of accessories. No one complains about Henrietta's ankles, Ash's arm doesn't fall down under its own weight, Evil Ash doesn't literally break apart in the middle and have all his accessories fall off. Even Marvel Legends which provided a similar sort of articulation range (but not the accessories) were a much better made product overall since they provided a detailed likeness like figuarts, extreme human movement like figuarts but were made to actually be played with.
And so in terms of quantity of accessories the Figuarts win out but people acting like they are the cream of the crop quality wise at their price range are kidding themselves.
