Blade 06, I'm really loving the exploration of the Rider system, even if it's starting to feel more like a mech anime than a Rider series

Sadly though the more emotional, character led sequences fell pretty flat for me. I barely have a grasp who anyone is or what is really going on in this series yet, so otherwise clichéd but still effective devices like 'it was all my Dad' held no meaning to me because I wasn't even sure of what that woman's name was until we got a five minute scene of them shouting 'Hirose'.

Same with that Doctor woman, who the hell is that? I think she said Tachibana was one of her students, what? I'm not sure if I'm just not paying attention or what but I really have no idea what is going on

And like your parents died in a fire Kenzaki, that is really sad, but I know more about your parents death than I do about you. The main reason Eiji's backstory in OOO was so effective was they established his character first, then went in and explored his past so we had an existing emotional investment. I don't care about anyone yet because the show has given me no reason to.
