Saban has played this season up as "being for the fans". A true anniversary season of sorts. So the nod is there for adults, one would hope they explain things a little bit better than "oh well it's in the footage." The adult fans will definitely notice the inherent problems of this season and complain, as a lot of people are doing already.

However it's also a show for children primarily. But children aren't stupid either. Just tossing stuff like this in without proper explanations talks down to your audience. Children in the target age range are gonna be smart enough to realize something is off and they'll ask questions about it. Like Megaforce Black being Super Green. White Ranger magically having his own team of rangers. The Legned War footage that features WAY more sentai heroes that they have no clue even exist. And when their questions either aren't answered properly or no answer is given....

You can see where I'm going with this. It's lazy and sort of a middle finger to your adult and child viewers to not at least try and explain things better. Makes it seem like it isn't worth their time to do it for either group. I'm simply pointing out how it's an issue for both demographics but I don't personally watch Power Rangers much anymore.
