I didn't know where to put this so err...

Anyone here stretch their ears?

I was never into the scene as such, those ridiculous dinner plate earlobes look fucking ridiculous but I was never able to wear earrings because for whatever reason even non reactive piercings reacted badly to my ears. So I had a go with stretching, it was touch and go for a while and very painful but after two years I'd gotten up to 12mm which is where I was gonna stay because you can almost completely heal from that size (eventually).

However after two years of being at that size, and maybe changing my jewellery half way to three quarters into that, I've had to take it out. A few weeks ago it became very itchy, I assumed it simply because of the heat but after scratching it the quality of the piercing has deteriorated dramatically.

Swelling, inflamed, extremely painful, bleeding, pussy, even my lymph nodes have swollen and I'm just interested in if anyone can help me get to the bottom of why a healed and perfectly trouble free piercing suddenly turned on me. I mean even if I broke the skin somehow when dealing with the itch, I'm not like some kind of hobo so how does a perfectly clean person end up with some hideous piercing nearly overnight?
