And that symbolism's kind of shaky when you realised the PuToTyra came way after TaJaDor. Not even right after, since ShaUTa was in between. Hell, ShaUTa was barely used itself.

OOO really fumbled the form changing. TaJaDor should've been the final form revealed. Perhaps only aquired after Ankh became complete. Then they could've pulled an evolution thing then, not right at the end when that symbolism was entirely absent literally until the final fight. But all it really did was make most of his forms seem useless and PuToTyra seem utterly pointless since his truely "useful" form was what ultimately led him to victory.

Also, that symbolism still doesn't work even ignoring all that, since Dinosaurs evolved into Birds. Birds did not "beat" or "outlive" dinosaurs, they ARE dinosaurs so to speak. Really if that's what they were going for, his final form should have been mammals, since they survived when dinosaurs could not.

AND that still doesn't make sense, since the fall of the dinosaurs was from outside interference. A meteor from space, not the nature running it's course. Dinosaurs lived for millions upon millions of years. Far longer than birds and mammals. They were evolutionarily strong, they were not beaten. Birds did not hit a home run, a train crashed onto the field and wiped out the opposing team.

I agree 100% with this. The Dinosaur Form just appears, and then takes over, for no reason. It's established that the Combos are all and powerful, designed to take down the Greed. And even if we say 'oh yeah but the Greed evolved beyond them'...the show didn't...show that as Eiji was kicking ass as he always did.

All it did was waste half the show yammering on about the importance of Combos only to make them completely redundant as soon as they come into play.

Considering TaJaDor was Ankh's form, and in Eiji's case a 'complete' form for Ankh it should have all felt way more important, their relationship was central to the story, completion is Ankh's reason for living (at first) and this was Eiji using his cores but it was just another form change and just another form change used in the movies about as much as it's used in the show, pathetic.
