Actually, there was an audition script that got out long ago (before Megaforce began filming) for the 6th ranger. That script was based on a scene from Gokaiger's Dairanger episode where Gai meets Ryo. In said audition script, Ryo's character is referred to as Red Ranger of Power Rangers Star Force. It's probably just a stand in name for a stand in script, but it'd there.


Of course, I'm still not convinced Dairanger will be in the final product. Saban Brands has used footage in trailers that aren't in the actual show before. The one cool shot in Shinkenger The Movie where the Shinkenger are on horseback isn't in Samurai as far as I know, but it was in the TV trailers. We also saw Akaranger telling everyone to combine powers in last year's Megaforce trailer and that sure hasn't happened yet in the show.
