It doesn't continue the story at all, but its one of, if not my very most, favourite episodes. Maybe I'm crazy, but there's always a chance that Locke was talking about Gai the gokaiger, since he sort of died before getting his powers, when he sacrificed himself to save a girl from getting run over by a car.
