[Sentai]

Once more the Kensetsu Mecha were at work in Neo Tokyo. Rebuilding, replacing, and making better everything destroyed in the attack three days before. Almost everything had been restored to it's natural beauty. They were nothing if not fast. And every project was inspected personally by Koji's trained eye, making them redo one statue seven times before the concrete set level enough for his approval. There was something else though that didn't.

Who is that? TAI!! Tell that idiot he can't stand there!
Eh? Right Boss!

Tai dismounted his black and silver vehicle, zipped up his overalls, sent a single hand through his short-cropped black hair, and made his way towards the idiot in question. Didn't look like much. Tall though, he was a good six foot. But he was built like a twig. Long, was the word Tai'd use. He was long. With dusty blonde hair and cornmeal yellow eyes, wearing what looked like a black school uniform. But with the jacket undone exposing the white undershirt beneath.

Hey! You can’t stand there, you’re gonna get yourself killed!

Tsuyo smiled. Just smiled and watched as Tai approached.

Am I?

Coming closer, right where Tsuyo wanted, Tai reached out to grip his shoulder.. And Tsuyo struck! Gripping his wrist, twisting it around to spin Tai and pin his held arm behind his back. He gave a harsh twist up and threw him against the nearby wall. Giving a single hard punch into his kidney before releasing him and just watching as Tai slid along the wall, holding his bruised side.

Tai?!

Koji charged, Tsuyo calmly tucked his hands into his pockets, fluidly dodging each and every punch the old man threw. His feet danced beneath him as a single leg swept out and caught Koji sending him rolling off towards Tsuyo's left.

How is it you defeated Lord Diablo? You can't even beat up one punk kid.. Sad, really. Maybe it's time to go into a home. .. Or better yet.. A COFFIN!

Reaching behind him Tsuyo pulled free his circular Assault Driver, the silver circle holding a generator in the middle, and as he slapped it to his waist a black belt formed around his waist!

KOROSU (KILL!) CHANGE!

Running his hand across the driver the generator roared to life and began changing the blonde punk. His body becoming covered in a shimmering black suit, with violet boots and gloves bordered and trimmed in silver. Featureless violet chest piece and shoulder pauldrons, and a featureless violet helmet without a visor.

Do you even understand the God Meteor?

Koji pulled himself up with help from the now arriving Akira, Yumiko and Mai not far behind. All their eyes widened, including the slowly recovering Tai, as they watched Tsuyo pull out what looked like a long USB stick out of the right side of his belt. A stick containing a meteor stone like the ones they used to become the Kensetsu Sentai!

HAYABUSA CHANGE!

The stick slammed home in the center of the Changer, and locked down towards the right beginning the incredible change into Korosu’s airborne form. From the skies above came a great swept wing fighter made from violet light and struck Korosu from behind! Changing the once featureless chest armor into a molded version of the fighter, with two great mechanical fighter jet wings forming behind him. His gauntlets becoming sleeker, his boots becoming more angled, and his helmet splitting down the middle. Opening to become what looked like a violet fighter pilot’s helmet. Silver mouth piece with a black hose attaching it to his chest armor near the right shoulder, even goggles above his mirrored black visor.

Construction vehicles.. really. Let me show you what the God Meteor can really do.

His body lifted inches from off the ground as his feet sunk back into his boots, every gap in his armor closing with an angered hiss of air, the thrusters affixed to his winged back roaring to life in concentrated fire! Soaring skyward, cackling as this new Dark Sentai hurtled between the buildings shredding glass with his wings to rain down on the Kensetsu beneath!

Everyone Henshin now!

Without hesitation every Sentai, including the injured Tai, pulled their Changers free and called on their Crystals. Becoming the Yuukanna Sentai Kensetsu! Dispersing, dodging, they each tried to avoid the skin shredding shards falling from above.

We don't know what this guy is capable of, so we play this careful! Blue and Green will protect Black until he's on his feet, Yellow you're with me. Go Now!

KENSETSU SWORD!
KENSETSU WHIPS!

Koji and Mai both called upon their weapons. Koji's was a long sword wrapped in the crimson metalwork of a long arm crane except for the riding edge of the blade, Mai's were long caterpillar treads attaching to her wrists becoming incredibly powerful whips.
And together they came to stand in the middle of the street.. Hayabusa slowly descending coming to hover some twenty feet before them, and somehow Koji knew he still had that creepy smirk beneath that helmet.

Trust yourself, Mai. I didn't make you a Kensetsu just because there was no one else. I knew there was something in you. We can beat this punk, but we have to fight together, and you cannot hesitate.
Don't worry, Boss. I may not be the best assistant in the world but I can do this.
Are you both finished? I'd like to break you and then move on with my day.

Laughing beneath his helmet, Tsuyo's thrusters roared to life so loud the glass of the skyscrapers lining either side of the street shook threatening to shatter. And with a single kickoff of his right foot he launched himself towards the pair! Rolling, and shifting back and forth across the alley. But they were ready. When the first punch landed Koji glanced it away with the blunt side of his blade, allowing Mai to bring down both whips. But Tsuyo was already gone!
His thrusters roared and he flipped himself over Koji, causing Mai to miss and her whips to wrap around Koji's blade ripping it from his hands!

Boss?!

Mai watched in horror as Tsuyo reared his hand, smaller thrusters coming to life near his elbow, giving him a powerful punch.. And that jet-assisted punch struck her square in the visor. Shattering the black visor protecting her eyes, cracking the yellow and white of her helmet, Mai was helplessly sent flying backward before the building stopped her cold. And she just fell to the pavement in a limp heap.
Koji growled. Using the opening the try and punch him again, but Korosu just tossed him aside.. But one punch did land. Akira, Kensetsu Green, leapt into the air and delivered a right cross against Korosu's helmet. The once airborne fighter skidding backward, helmet cracked, and still laughing..

I think I may've touched a nerve.. Is she yours?

Akira just gave an angered grunt, angrily punching his fists together and calling on his own Kensetsu weapons. Around each fist formed two loader buckets attaching at his wrist, increasing his fists' power! But Korosu just slowly stood himself upright again and gave a mocking chuckle..

Not going to talk? Fine.. I WILL!

PANZER GUROSU CHANGE!

Slamming another USB home Korosu began to change again! Throwing down his hands the armor of the Falcon cracked, shattered, and fell from his body. The suit beneath melting from black into shimmering Silver! Akira gripped a nearby lamppost, the ground beneath them shaking and rumbling and soon they saw why! From behind Korosu came a great Rhinoceros charging straight for him! But before it struck the great animal mech broke into multiple pieces and began forming another armor. The back-quarters folding into themselves to reveal caterpillar treads and snapped on to Korosu’s lower legs to become thick armored boots. The front quarters folded up snapping on his forearms to become thick gauntlets. And that left the main body and head. Striking him through his back, the Rhino’s head bellowed out before folding down flush against his chest making thick armor and shoulder grieves. And the final piece was the helmet folding up from the chest, the horn arched back atop his head, and the two cannons folding up onto his shoulders. Clenching his fists, the armor changed into a deep rich blue with golden trim. And his new armored faceplate locked into place. A red flash coming across the crimson visor.
Each tread struck ground and began churning, sending up whisping clouds of smoke and debris before launching this new Sentai straight towards Kensetsu Green! But Akira just growled. Rearing back his fists and aiming his best punch straight towards Gurosu's own incoming punch. And when both fists met the ground beneath them shook. Creating a perfect circular crater under their feet, destroying whatever glass was left on the buildings on either side of them, neither Sentai giving an inch!
Their powers soon repelled sending both sliding backwards. Akira using his shovels to stop himself and Tsuyo using the treads of his armor.

I can see now why Koji chose you. You got strength, but not much else. I think its time we changed this up a little.. Don't you all? Not near enough people are dying for my tastes.

PAWA (POWER) CHANGE!

Each piece of armor broke away from him and fell to the ground in an angry clang of metal. Thrusting the final USB into his belt, Tsuyo began to laugh.. Throwing his back and maniacally laugh while stretching his arms off to either side of his body.
From behind him came the final Power of the Trinity. Akira watching as the great Black Panther stood atop a nearby building and let go an angered roar which shook everything around it. Sending it off bounding between buildings, gracefully landing some ways behind Tsuyo where the sounds of squealing tires could be heard. The wail of sirens. Sliding around the corner they saw the final vehicle! The six wheeled Stryker Assault APC, beautiful black trimmed in purple with a rotating gatling gun on top already whirring into life!

EVERYONE GET DOWN NOW!

Each of the Kensetsu dove for cover as molten hot shells screamed past their heads destroying cars, felling trees, blowing through store fronts, whatever was unlucky enough to be in their way! Mai screamed in Tai’s arms as the injured man tried protecting her, Koji had his daughter, and Akira managed finding a sturdy building to roll behind just in time.
And when the smoke cleared, when they all dared looking up, the last form of Korosu stood before them. The Panther had combined with the Stryker to make his new armor. Black, trimmed in purple. Four of the tires were molded into the back of his vented chest armor, the final two molded into the armor protecting his shoulders. The Gatlin gun had become a handheld six barreled blaster in his right hand and lazily tapping against his shoulder. The gauntlets and boots were sleek armor pieces ending in claws of the Panther. And his helmet molded like the head, with bright yellow angrily narrowed eyes above the sleek purple visor and silver face guard.

Who’s the first to come die?

Before any could answer they all watched in horror as Korosu moved with a new blinding speed! Just a purple blur across their line of sight, and now he stood where Akira once had and held the strong man effortlessly off his feet with one hand gripped tight around his throat.

I think you.
NO!

Korosu already had his six-barreled blaster pressed into Akira’s stomach, the chambers spinning so quick they began glowing brilliantly.. But as he pulled the trigger all he struck was air, and the building in his line of fire. Korosu grunted angrily, frantically looking for where Akira had gone.. But he was off to the side. Yellow slowly helping him down before standing up slow, and turning to face this monster on her heels.
Honestly, she didn’t know how she did either. But Koji knew. She unlocked the full power of her Crystal Changer and became one with the stone. But the effect had been to much for her! Mai fell to her knees, changing back into her civilian form and panting heavily. Covered in glistening sweat. But Korosu was already aiming his gun to blow her away!
Koji stood, calling upon his Crane Sword and rushing towards Korosu with all the strength his body had left! Blade’s tip skipping off the asphalt road and brought the blade up in a wide arch which the angered Korosu still easily rolled from and dodged. The two powerhouses exchanged blows. Koji would swing his sword, Tsuyo would dodge! Tsuyo would fire his blaster, Koji would block each shot with his sword! But the Old Man could only hold for so long against that brutal power and soon gave Korosu an opening to thrust the Blaster into the man’s chest and open fire..
Yumiko cried out in Tai’s arms. Watching in horror as the blaster tore through her Father’s body until he fell limp onto his knees and collapsed. Sword shattering, suit disappearing, and body smoking from where those shells struck. And Korosu just laughed. A dark, humorless sound, as he gave Koji’s body a final cruel kick back towards his teammates. Before finally turning and walking away, tapping the blaster against his shoulder.

The nurses and doctors rushed Koji through the Emergency Room doors, taking him straight into Trauma Surgery as the team watched from the waiting room. Yumiko being held by Tai, Mai by Akira. None of them believing what had just happened, still deep in shock. Seconds later the Nurse arrived.

Are you his Daughter?

Yumiko nodded softly. Pushing herself from Tai to approach the nurse, wrapping her arms loose around her stomach as though that might help somehow.

Yes, I’m Yumiko.. Will he be alright?
There was alot of internal damage. The Doctor’s are doing their best, but in cases like this.. The survival rate is fifty fifty. If he’s strong enough then he’ll survive. But.. Miss, the entire city owes him a great debt. But he can never become a Sentai again. Even if he survives, I’m sorry, the stress caused would kill him..

Yumiko fell into Tai’s arms behind her, crying again softly, and all Tai could do was thank the nurse as she left. They were just soundly beaten, humiliated, and now they lost their leader.. And Tai had never felt so angry in his life.

You stay here with your dad, Yumi. Akira and I are going to find someway to beat that guy before he hurts anyone else.. we have to.

Yumiko didn’t want to let him go but she nodded softly. Leaving him with a kiss before he and Akira both left. He didn’t know where they’d find that power.. but find it they would.
