I posted this up on HJU last week, but since New Years is still less than a week behind us it seemed like a cool thing to start off here, too. This is just sort of a general survey of what you guys thought were the highlights of 2011 in tokusatsu.

A couple quick notes:

Personally, for 2011 series I'm counting anything that aired a new episode this year: Goseiger, OOO, Gokaiger, Fourze, Garo MaikaiSenki, Power Rangers Samurai, and anything else that I don't remember or know about.

For movies I'm counting anything that came out this year (W Returns, Let's Go Riders, 199 Heroes, etc.) as well as anything that came out last year but wasn't available as a dvd/fansub until this year (A to Z, Red Requiem, Movie War Core - which I'm sure will be on many people's favorite list- etc.). If you want to include stuff like MegaMax or Ghost Pirate Ship that hasn't been available for viewing outside of Japan yet, go ahead.


Best New Show of 2011

Best New-to-You Show of 2011 (aka, what older series did you watch for the first time and absolutely fall in love with?)

Best Rewatch of 2011 (for those, like me, who rewatched one or more shows they'd already seen before)

Best Movie of 2011
