I can see it working and be a success, but it'll be like transformers where kids love it and most fans loathe it. If it works out though and there's a sequel, I can see them incorporating the white ranger powers and possibly some other rangers.

Want to know my plot?

A new alien threat is discovered. To combat it, a secret government organization fishes out the Dragonzord from Angel Grove Harbor (where it should still technically be). They reverse engineer the ranger powers from it but are unable to get the zord to work because they don't have the right operator. Desperate and with armageddon fast approaching, they turn to Tommy, the only man for the job.

Simple, but it would tell a new story with familiar elements.

Add Ron wasserman as head of music were good to go
