I've been and am in the same boat. Trying to go out with random women is fairly tough because, they're random women. You know nothing about them, so trying to talk before you ask is awkward. Whereas if you try to do the same thing with a friend, it's still awkward, but it's easier to slide into conversation with them.

I've been burnt to man, but you never know until you try. You can not succeed without the risk of failure. And if you're not afraid of failure, man you can go anywhere or do anything.
